Meditation Flute (Shakuhachi x Bansuri)

The Meditation Flute is a hybrid between the Bansuri and Shakuhachi flutes.

It is a flute with deep, magical and meditative sound tuned to the minor pentatonic scale. It is a simple, austere flute for meditating on sound and reaching states of consciousness clarity.

Bamboo was specifically selected for this model and the black color is obtained through a traditional Japanese wood preservation method called Yakisugi (焼 杉). Yaki means to heat with fire and sugi is Cypress.

This process can result in some loosening of the superficial fibers of the bamboo without affecting the sound of the flute.
